I just got back from Capital and am contemplating my reactions to the
event. Many things capable of providing solid meal time conversation
happened this weekend, as is always the case at these conventions. I
haven't posted on here in quite awhile (excluding ANN and ADV
threads ), but three minutes from this weekend grabbed me enough this
weekend to make me want to write it down (or at least type it into
cyberspace).

Jordan and Tatiana's routine this weekend was one of the most amazing
dance performances I have ever seen...from any form of dance. While
I'm sure many will disagree with me here, I felt that it took West
Coast Swing to a whole new level. And if a non-dancer ever asked me
to show them what West Coast Swing looks like, I would love to show
them that routine.

If you were there, then you were lucky to have shared this experience
with me. If you were not, I hope you get the opportunity to see their
new routine in the future - although I don't know if the performance
will ever be quite the same. The emotion in the song, the passing of
Wayne Bott, and the uninhibited and unmatched passion with which
Jordan and Tatiana danced combined to leave me and many of those
around me with tears in our eyes by the time it was over.

I feel blessed to have been there to see it and I hope Wayne was
watching.

WOW I wish I could have been there. Tell me about the routine. I saw
them at the US OPEN and it was awesome. Is it the same routine?
What is the music?

A brilliant prformance, especially given the circumstances. Jordan
was also eloquent in paying tribute to Wayne.

I agree that it was one of the best dance routines I've ever seen - in
any form of dance. A truly awesome dance, it was a defining moment for
WCS.

I was amazed at the song choice as well - it's on of my favorite songs
from last year. I believe the song was the Fray's "How to Save a
Life".

I think it must be the same routine they put on the floor at HURRAY
FOR HOLLYWOOD. I remember thinking that Tatiana had found a way to
infuse her dancing with new emotional depths - it made me cry.

Ben -- You said it all.......Jordan and Tatiana were amazing beyond
belief.

Cindy -- it was exactly the same routine they danced at The
Open.......only this performance outshone the one at The Open.
