I second the motion. Taped it while at APPLAUSE (I'm going back to
capitalizing show titles) on Saturday night, and watched it last
night. Both Sarandon and Fiennes were really excellent. Reinforced
my idea that Sarandon would make a superb Margo Channing. She's got a
bit of Bette Davis in her, but not as mannered (interesting that the
script references WHATEVER HAPPENED TO BABY JANE?). Fiennes (at least
before he started wearing the makeup) looked more attractive to me
than I had ever thought of him before, and did a great acting job. My
only complaint was that it was done *so* intimately, I couldn't hear a
couple of the lines. Loved the nuanced expression on Sarandon's face
when she asks him what he wants, and he replies that he just wants to
take care of her.

I also liked James Rebhorn, the use of the Peggy Lee music, and the
background score.
