That movie looks like it was made with a cheap camcorder, or like if someone
borrowed the camera used to make that movie Blair Witch Project.

Look at it about 2/3 of the way through - just after the soldiers with the
RPGs fire - you can see the back of the Monster...
Sure looks like Gamera to me!

That's the point. It's intentional. I think it's an intriguing concept
really. I'm hoping that it'll be better than GODZILLA was, and it's
about time somebody made a dark version of the old monster-smash-city
movie, one that would make me feel like I did when I was a kid watching
them. Maybe that's not even possible. I sure wish someone would create
that feeling of being in one of those buildings, hiding, as one of those
things passes by.

Others have suggested it could be Cthulhu, the famous monster by H. P.
Lovecraft.

It's just that I can cannot get myself to go see a movie that
looks like it was made for a "made for TV movie".

but anything with J.J Abrams name on it is always going to be a rip-
off..
