I have a load of MP3s and karaoke tunes I need to rename the IDV3 tags
on. I use media monkey, but was wondeing if there is a free program
that can do it better. I want to be able to do it easily and quickly.
Any ideas? I use PCDJ with the KJ plugin so it needs to be able to
disply them in that. I have tried the PCDJ tagger but you have to pay
for it and it is a bit tricky to use. (probably because I am blonde!)
Anyway all suggestions welcome.

I use musicmatch. I think its the best and easy, you can tag multiple
files at the same lookup.

| well put....
| but i'll stick with it....the tagger does not need access to the
| internet...i've not had any problems with it or know anybody who has..

And how would you stop it from connecting to the internet when the actual call
to the net comes from a microsoft system component as opposed to the
'tagger.exe'. Chew it over as it won't be the tagger that 'calls home' it will
be the underlying M$ components thanks to the way .net works. Magic, ain't it.

heres my reason ..

Softpedia guarantees that Microsoft .NET Framework Pre-Release 3.0 September
2006 CTP is 100% CLEAN, which means it does not contain any form of malware,
including but not limited to: spyware, viruses, trojans and backdoors.

This software product was tested thoroughly and was found absolutely clean,
therefore it can be installed with no concern by any computer user. However,
it should be noted that this product will be retested periodically and the
award may be withdrawn, so you should check back on this page from time to
time.

Indeed, but the program making use of the .net framework api's may not be "100%
clean"
It will appear to be acting normally and making use of the wide range of
networking and communication abilities of the .net framework

With the number of taggers out there it's your choice. The only way to be sure
that any program making use of the .net framework is acting without malice is to
write it yourself!

End of matter but be fully aware of the risks. I also like the statement that
'Pre-Release 3.0 September 2006' is clean. It's a pre-release and less than a
month old!
Even this version allows a programmer to open all the doors on a machine. Magic.
Safest option, avoid .net or run it on a machine that is not important and not
on line.
