Greetings:

I've read several reviews/comments on "In the Heights" when it was off
Broadway. Most were positive, but several said it was too long and
needed to be trimmed. I didn't see the show off Broadway, but I saw it
on Broadway in previews this past Saturday evening. The show ran a
little under 2 1/2 hours including intermission. While I enjoyed the
show, I felt that it actually needed to be longer because things were
left unexplained and others were unclear. One of the reviews said "I
could go back just to hear Raul on that wailing trumpet" I don't
recall Raul on a wailing trumpet. Has the show been cut for the
Broadway production? If so, I hope that they aren't making a mistake.
