Aloha kakou,
I read that the "secret" of Iz's Uke Tuning is posted somewhere in the
newsgroup, but I cannot find it.
Can somebody help me out and post it again?

Aloha,

I snipped this from an old posting by Bruddah Bu.....

I've never tried it... Good Luck....

"Put his C string where the G goes
Put his E string where the C goes
Put his G string where the E goes
Left his A string alone,

then tuned GCEA with the G one octave lower then normal. This was the
Brudda
IZ original low G tuning.

Many folks just get one extra set of strings and put an extra C where
the G
goes and some use some other type of string for this."

So if I understand this right, Bruddah IZ used a C-E-LowG-A tuning?

I am truly amazed. That is why I could never copy his strumming on "Over
the Rainbow!. Duh!
