Two things here to share, these picked up from Annette Funicello's
autobiography that I finished today.
The Sherman Brothers wrote "You're Sixteen," a huge hit for one Johnny
Burnette (and later for Mr. Starr). That's a great song.
But more interesting, for me anyway, is that their father, Al Sherman, was
one of them Tin Pan Alley songwriters who wrote (with two other writers),
"You Gotta Be a Football Hero." That's also a great song.
