The Backyardigans is a half hour animated musical shown on Nickelodean.
Its intended target age group is pre-schoolers. So the plots are,
well, childish. Yet the character development is consistent and the
music is way above average for what is dished out to kids. The
characters have really short legs but they stay in the air as long as if
they had long ones. That takes a little getting used to. The
choreography varies from really simple to some really surprising stuff.
The have actual dances do it before they animate it.
