American Gangster
movie review by The Starmaker
Okay, I saw "American Gangster" in a movie theater.
This is not a movie review...
It's a movie about gangsters
but it looks to me like *everyone* in the movie is a gangster!
All the Black guys are all gangsters
All the Italian guys are all gangsters
All the races seem to be gangsters...
Every race seems to be totally put down in one form or another...
The whole New York city is trashed.
Even the cops, the whole entire police force are either gangsters
or corrupt....
the only good guy
the only good cop
the only honest cop
the only person having a reputuation
of being the only good honest person in the whole city
played by Russle Crow,
guess what race he plays?
Jewish!
You screenwriters should be ashamed of yourself.
You don't deserve a cut of DVD or Internet sales. You should be robbed!

Hey, you want to tell Frank Lucas, the actual person whose life the
movie depicts, that his life is a collection of movie cliches? Be my
guest. Just wear full SWAT gear when you do so.

What's all this deflecting, was Frank Lucas in charge of production? You WGA screenwriters need to
be shot at two minutes intervals. You screenwriters are in the line of fire, I don't care if you're
responsible for the unbalance sterero or not...you're name is on the script, you're going down with the
rest of them.... |

I'll post the differences here just so others are not *mislead* by you....
A movie cliche - is a phrase, expression, or idea that has been overused to the point of losing its intended force
or novelty, especially when at some time it was considered distinctively forceful or novel.
A stereotype - are generalizations about groups and individual members thereof, based primarily on membership in that group.
A standardized mental picture that is held in common by members of a group that represents an oversimplified opinion,
prejudiced attitude, or uncritical judgment.
I would have to say there is a BIG FUCKIN DIFFERENCE! So don't come here trying to mislead others, this is not Hollywood,
this is The Internet!
So what is the stereotype for an "intelligent person"? Is it a Black guy, a Spanish guy or a White guy?

I got a question for you Skipper, why is it that 99 percent members of the Writers Guild of America (WGA) are
Jewish, and it seems that 99 percent of the people who write, teach and give seminars on "How To Write Screenplays" are *not* Jewish? |

In May 1987 the United States Supreme Court handed down its decision that
Jews are a "race" for purposes of the Civil Rights Act of 1866.
