The very wonderful Julia McKenzie, who has sadly pretty much quit
doing musicals, has been cast to replace Geraldine McEwan in ITV's
ongoing adaptations of Agatha Christie's Miss Marple novels.
This particular TV series is a bit hit-and-miss (though there's
sometimes some very entertaining stunt casting in supporting roles),
but McKenzie is a very interesting choice, and I imagine she will
probably be quite a lot better than McEwan, who tended to overdo the
silly voice in the role.
