And why is it good for you?
I'm writing a research paper on the benefits of karaoke on well-being
and would be grateful if you could give me some insight.

Hi,
It's good for me cause I use to be a lead singer many years back and played
guitar. As I am disabled and have a pain syndrome and cant play guitar for
more than about 10 to 15 minutes Karaoke is a dream come true. For when I am
doing Karaoke I forget about some of my pain and remenis back to when I was
performing for people.Hope this is a help to you. Bill cb12@enter.net

When I'm sad or angry, stressed or just fed up with someone, a song can be
all I need. I express myself through the music. For example, when I felt
like someone was trying to take me as a fool, I sang just that.."Nobody's
fool". When I feel a bit blue, I usually sing my good ones..the ones that
give me a lot of applause, like Invinceable from Pat Benatar, or Heart of
Glass from Blondie. I used to sing a lot of country...sad in love type of
stuff.. got me over the sadness..lol. NOw I'm in love and sing the
lovesongs..
Music is SOULFOOD!!!! Not just Karaoke, but music in general. Michael
Bolton got me through my divorce with "When I'm back on my feet again".. I
played it over and over and over again! Ahhhh..music does the body good!!!

I was acutally diagnosed with MFPS 14 years ago, then they added the FMS
here when I moved to Wisconsin. For me the worse part is the Fibrofog
(heard of that?)... I forget things so easily at times... and I used to be
soooooo good in remembering ANYTHING. I was a lot worse 14 years ago than I
am right now, thank the Lord! I am so much better today!
How awful that both of you have to go through this.. it's enough if one
person in a household has to deal with it. My daughter is 16 and I have
suspicions that she has it too, but they won't even look at her.. say that
she has "growing pain" (I got that too as a child).
