I'm just learning to download, extract and now burn karaoke files to a
CD so that I can take them into my joint and play them on their
karaoke machine. Is there anything special I need to know in order to
do this or do I just need the karaoke file and the MP3 file and burn
the CD with those on it?

Any help would be greatly appreciated. Today is 10/6 and I have
karaoke this evening and really would like to do some new songs.

Thanks.
Carrie

Your drive needs to support DAO96 burning mode. Most of them (90%?) do.

If you are simply taking the mp3 and the cdg files, that you've
downloaded from somewhere or ripped from a disc, and burning them to a
disc, that won't work in a karaoke machine.
You need to take the two files, mp3 and the cdg, and convert them to a
bin file.
The best program I know of to do this is a freebee software program
called, MP3+G Toolz. It will convert your karaoke files into bin files
and create an image file, (.cue) that you would use to burn in either
Alcohol 120 or Nero Burning, to burn to a CDR disc. DO NOT use DVD
discs, to burn karaoke files that you want to play in a karaoke
machine.
CDRWin is a software program also used by some to burn karaoke files
but you must have a burner that is compatable with CDRWin. Not
everyone has this.
I've found that most new burners now are capable of burning karaoke
files with the appropriate software and settings.
If you like, I've done a tutorial complete with pics and step by step
instructions on using MP3+G Toolz and Alcholol 120, to burn karaoke
files to disc. Let me know if you'd like to have it.
